My Path

I began my path as a Healer over 30 years ago when I first took a
class in Foot Reflexology. I had young children at the time and thought it
would help with the bumps and bruises of childhood.

My Mother believed that with prayer, excercise, nutrition and herbs we had it pretty much covered.  She was part Cherokee Indian, and her grandmother was an herbalist and midwife.  I feel that we carry the instints of our ancestors in our DNA.  My paternal grandfather was a Medical Dr.  I have grown up with books on medicine, herbs and healing.   I knew I wanted to combine my skills and beliefs, so in the summer of 2004 I went to a talk held by Dr. Phillip Mountrose on Holistic Healing.  I was hooked!
I started my training at the Awakenings Institute here on the Central
Coast of California.  The classes covered Hypnotherapy, EFT, NLP and a variety of other healing modalities.  I studied at the Institute for nearly three years.  As I began seeing clients in my private practice, I realized that many of them were having difficulties based on their lack of, or imbalance in, their spiritual
connections.  I was so intrigued by this that I went back to Awakenings and began an Ordination Program to become a minister.  In 2009 I became a Senior Minister of Holistic Healing and added Spiritual Counseling to my “medicine bag”.

We are fascinating beings with spiritual, emotional, mental and physical
challenges.  I believe we have everything we need here on this earth to heal
ourselves.  It is important to me to be able to work with the whole
person.   I am also a Reiki Master.  I use Reiki to “read” a person’s body.
This enables me to get a better picture of where someone needs healing.  I often combine a number of modalities in one session depending on what is needed.
